I have a 80 gallon display (125 gallon system) in the process and I’m thinking about its stocking. (4’ X 2’)

I have 2 clownfish and a tail spot Benny I will move over but I wanted a system of smaller fish and 1 bigger fish.

Thoughts on this?:
2 clownfish
1 mandarin dragonet (non negotiable, it’s my favorite fish)
Kole tang
Longnose hawkfish
Royal grammar (maybe multiple?)

Is this enough fish or should I add more? I’m open to a wrasse but don’t want them eating all the mandarins food!

Also are there any suggestions on an order I would need to add the in to help with aggression/territorial behavior etc?

Thank you :)

The fish you listed are great choices and should not present any issues with aggression toward each other!

I'd say you have room to add a few more fish if you like. Maybe a dwarf angel?

I love how dwarf angels look.. however, I always thought they were iffy on the “reef safe” description?

Everyone will have their own opinion on this - Over my 15+ years in the hobby, I've had 2 flame angels and currently have a coral beauty. The only "issue" iver ever had was the coral beauty eating a very sick and nearly dead hammer - nothing else problematic, ever.

Seems good to me. Kole or yellow or both.
Remember with long nose, no shrimp.
I agree, no competition for the mandarin, it’s safer.
This girl 4 years old, never fed her.
I’d stick with one gramma, fierce defenders of their home.

I love fox faces too.. but I was thinking the tank might be too small for a Kole and a fox face?

I will say the only reason I don’t think I should get a foxface is because of my welso’s, Scolys, and lots of higher end zoas.. I’ve heard they sometimes like to snack on those haha

Foxfaces can get big...read that as pig. I've had a couple on different occasions in a 120 gallon, they both topped out at around 7-8 inches and were dominant feeders. I also had clowns and a regal tang in there and a white damsel, but the fox was always king at feeding time.
