Hi.
I’ve just noticed this weird black ring on my foxface. It’s not raised or anything f and he’s acting normal.
I’ve only had him for almost 4 months, so he’s probably a little over 3 inches.
He’s housed with 2 clownfish.
I have a few hammer corals and a Duncan coral that he likes to hover around in.
Can anyone help me with this.

That is a bite mark from your clownfish.
I was going to say that was a blenny bite. I do not know what else in in the tank, but that is a bite mark for sure.

Wow! My clownfish are only an inch or so. He does hang around them and doesn’t leave them alone.
The female nudges him sometimes when he’s hovering around their rock

I only have the 2 juvenile clownfish with him and a peppermint shrimp.
He likes to hang out with the clownfish and follows them everywhere

Seams like your clowns may be a bit aggressive toward your fox face then. Give them some time and they will figure out who is the boss of the tank. The aggression should subside.
