This started out as a pricy piece but has come down in value a large colony can be bought for under 200 but still a stunner. i wopuld love to see a colony thats been in captivity for 8 months

I just bought mine today and it still has some coloring up to do but I think it will be a really nice piece. Diff one of my favorite acros

i have had mine for over 8 months i believe but i got it as a small frag so it is no colony by a long shot. really nice color but painully slow growing. there is a newish pic in my build thread i believe

Oh, I didn't mean that it had to be a colony. My frag is like only an inch or two with several branches. In the last month, its encrusted about a quarter size around the piece I got.

Reef2Reef sponsors usually sell some of the larger frags, but I agree, I've never seen like a huge colony grown out in anybody's tank yet. Maybe its still early :)

Definetly a coral on my shopping list. The colors are just simply amazing!!!!!!! I gotta wait a bit though.....

i have seen alot of little frags of this, but never seen a big colony thats been established in a tank, id like to see one though bet it is beautiful

I think this is by far my favorite piece i finally came up on a piece that was about 2 in for 45 bucks. I am hoping that it will grow fairly quick but i doubt it. none the less I am glad the price started to drop I would have loved to by a monster colony but I know that I could not afford it. So settle for the little one and watch it grow...

had mine for 8+ months..has encrusted a softball size rock and is finally starting to sprout little shoots..but no colony for sure
