String / thread like things on tang

Our tang developed spots and stringy threadlike things hanging off his body, now showing on his side fins. Been told it is ich but the description says spots, not strings. Have been treating with Polyplab but it's getting worse. Please help diagnose! Can supply photos tomorrow, blue lights are on

Yes, pictures taken under white light is helpful. A short video also helps. Other info will be needed, take a look at the link below my name here, or in the sticky section at the top of the forum.
When ich is left untreated, it looks a lot different than when it first starts. Speed is of the essence though- people have reported hat polyp lab doesn’t work really well for advanced ich infections, you may need to change up the treatment.
