If I am reading this correctly:

The reactor processed 85,500 mL
I got that with this math: 95 mL/min x 900 minutes

At 32 dKH,
85,500 x 32 = the total alkalinity supplied was 2,736,000 dKH-mL

I think Randy’s recipe is 5,300 dKH
So 2,736,000 dKH/ml / 5,300 dKH = 516 ml

I cannot tell from the video what we are talking about, but if this is a CaCO3/CO2 reactor that takes in tank water and then sends out higher alk and calcium tank water, we would need to subtract out the incoming alk to know how much it is adding.

Good catch, I did not consider the tank water being cycled through as part of the dilution.

I set my Dose to 1k ML and set it to controlled dosing. on day 1 it used 350 ML to maintain my DKH and my DKH held. On day 2 it shot up to 1100 ML and my DKH held.

I use +\- 50% on the controlled dosing option to increase or decrease from the amount I dialed in. I also have my Kamoer set to shut off > 9.3.

This is my CARX. My tank sits at 9 DKH.

I like that I can now borrow that formula. Thoughts on the above? And thank you all for chiming in.

Which formula are you referring to? The one Bean posted needs to be altered to subtract the incoming alk from the 32 dKH before doing calculations.
