Suicidal Yellow Wrasse

I was setting up my new Waterbox 230.6 and my wrasse decided it didn't like his new home. Although I had a partial top on from my old tank, it still found it's way out. Unfortunately I never saw him jump and was too late when I found it. New top had not been delivered yet.

No kidding right? I was surprised at the speed it jump out and nothing was happening in the tank. Even looks fake. Wish I would have heard it or something.

Oh man, I hate that! My YWG tried to carpet surf several times, but luckily, to no avail.

Yep, this was not his first attempt. He constantly surfed the top of the water and splashed everywhere. I really thought I could get away with the partial covers on the ends. RIP dude.

No kidding right? I was surprised at the speed it jump out and nothing was happening in the tank. Even looks fake. Wish I would have heard it or something.

There was a big noise just before it jumped. They can feel vibrations.

We had a leopard wrasse die similar.
Swap up to fast, hit the live rock and snapped its spine.
According to the internet it’s common with that fish.
Our lunare wrasse is killing it.
