Sump dial-in on ProStar V60 cube

How!? How do I make this stop?
ProClear ProStar V60 and a Seachem impulse 800 return pump. If I dial the drain line back, the pump drains the return chamber. If I dial the pump back, the return chamber overfills and the macro floats over. Is it just a fiddle with it until it balances thing? It's so hard to each the pump and I can't see it to tell which way or how to turn it. Sump video

Been set up and running just a few days and it was quiet and then I messed with it and I don't know how to mess it back with out dumping the whole ATO tank into it in the process.
I really hesitated getting a sump-equipped tank at all. Falling water inside the house just feels wrong.

Aw thanks for the bump :)
I actually got it figured out - yay! Had to shut down and level out the sump water level and then start up and dial the drain pipe down a little bit. It's still a lot of water but the noise is greatly reduced.
