I have a 40 gal nuvo with Eclipse S overflow. I purchased a Aqueon proflex model 1 sump. I’m hard plumbing everything and need advice as to what recommendations u have fof a return pump. I believe the overflow is rated at 600gph. The exhaust pipe is 1 inch and the return is 3/4 to 1/2. I also need advice as to what protein skimmer to use in sump. I don’t have much space but want a good reliable skimmer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As for a skimmer Reef octopus make a variety of sizes for different sized tanks. My personal go to is vertex for a skimmer, but those will probably be too big. Plus the cost is a lot higher than most other skimmers.
