Is anyone able to help me diagnose what’s wrong with my yurple tang? i can’t tell if its bloat or if its just super backed up. any help would be greatly appreciated. i’ll post pic/video

This fish is likely constipated. What foods are you feeding?
Also what is your feeding frequency?
Is fish breathing normal or elevated?

Lastly, in the future, please post pics using Bright white light intensity, no blue for best clarity

sorry about the bad quality i had my girlfriend take the video as im currently at work. as of food being fed and frequency, they’re usually fed twice a day but i haven’t fed in 2 days cause i dont want it to keep eating if its already constipated. food being fed is a mixture of hikari mysis, spirulina brine shrimp and mermaids delight with nori throughout the day

That is swim blader problem. The fish have to swim down all the time to keep level. He is swimming hard with his head pointing down. I would treat him with antibiotic laced food.

The foods you are feeding are all fatty and Im familiar with Mermaids delight from memrmaids cove. Try brine shrimp only which would free up any stoppage if it applies within. LRS Herbivore frenzy is a good food to add once this clears up

The downward nose swimming shows that the fish has excess gas in its belly. the swelling looks too low down to be the swim bladder, so I would say this is gas building up in its gut. Here is a post I made about abdominal swelling in fish:

i haven’t fed in about 48 hours and symptoms still persist. should i add epsom salt and peas to the tank?

Nope, try brine shrimp like @vetteguy53081 suggested

i’ve been feeding mixture of brine and mysis but i will try only brine shrimp
