Press release!

"Research scientists crack the code on breeding swedish fish in captivity" Reuters, Stockholm.

"We done it!" Shouts Dr. Yngwie Johan Malmsteen, research scientist for the University of Stockholm in Sweden. "Me and my esteemed colleagues have been working for the past three decades to get this little guys to do this in our labs. Today, we are proud to announce they've done it!" Dr. Malmsteen said that one of the secrets was to dim the lights and provide "mood music".

Dr. Malmsteen has promised to share in their findings to the world and take it on the road for a tour!

Here's his assistant celebrating the world shattering accomplishment!

Looks delicious!

And here I was thinking you are talking about the mad guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen. I was saying to myself I don't recall that he kept a reef tank let alone breeding them :D
I was thinking of the same guy ! ! ! ;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

Fake news :) :) That's a Norwegian fish

Sincerely Lasse

And with your keen eye and experience, I do believe you!

This is the fish sold in Sweden as "pastellfiskar" - much more diversity :) :)

I was wrong. The fish was first manufactured of the Swedish Company Malaco - you can see the name Malaco on our fishes. However - one American company sells the same candy in the US with the word Swedish on it - but we do not know the name here...

Part of my high school years were traumatized by a hardened Swedish Fish which became weaponized and used in classroom warfare.

Nothing good will come of breeding these fishes. We must ban the improper use of Swedish Fish!
Love me some stale(ish) swedish fish! And slightly stale red vines while were at it!
