Hey there! I’m currently switching tanks from 24 cube to 75 rimless. My question is as follows:

Do I want to take the water from cube and put in rimless? Or do I do all brand new water?

Bonus question: how long can my live rock be out of water for aquascaping purposes?

yes

bonus answer
depends on what is on/in it. There are always lots of pods and worms and things you cant see too.

I always put the rock into the new tank and then arrange it while it is under water. I have always treated my live rock like a live animal.

I make new water and partially fill the new tank. Then I drain the old water down before the old tank is disturbed. Then I move the rock and leave the dirty water made by removing the rock to be discarded.
