Oh how weird. Yeah I'd do the same thing. take apart, put back together. Silicone if that doesn't work

ok well took everything apart...and the tank is between 2 gaskets. So I put everything back together and dang it it leaks still.
On both sides of the inside black box at the bottom seam. So I guess silicone to fix leak.
With the leak being the inside box and is inside tank and will be wet anyway do I need to really mess with silicone?
I tend to wear it like super glue...lol never fails

I'd skip the silicone personally. it sounds like your plumbing from the outer box to the sump is heavy enough to torgue the inside box (this is purely a guess). Fill it all up and see how it runs. Have you made sure to only hand tighten the nuts to the bulkhead? Sometimes they can be over-tightened also

They both are hand tight then a 1/4 turn past the hand tight.
Did all bulkheads on this build that way. I'll skip the silicone...

Thanks again

Ok here's another update...
I sent a message to synergy about the overflow. Cause I do plan on getting another one. Thought they could send replacement when they sent me the purchased one. And was told that the inner box wasn't meant to be watertight and where it's leaking at its not gonna affect it's operation.
So thats a relief.
Said to fill tank and do a full leak test....

So tonight after work I'm flipping it around sliding into its final resting spot and filling this thing up tonight.
Hopefully no leaks and I can rinse the live rock and aqua scape it tonight

I dunno yet...Had to exchange some pieces and waiting on them to get here.
Now how do I setup the refugium? I mean how do I set water level? Do I just fill tank to where I want it? and then how full do I fill refugium?
Just checked tracking numbers and replacement pump and powerheads will be here tomorrow...and thurs is day off so will be working on it.

The overflow box will set your DT water level. Then just have your refugium and return pump sections water level lower than the skimmer section. Did you get your skimmer stand yet?

Why, what's wrong? Cloudy tanks are to be expected if you didn't rinse the sand well
