Can you post some pics of your setups with fixtures included? I'm tired of struggling with zoas and am about to give up on them. Its not fun anymore.

I will have to take a Pic.

You sure it is the Light?

There are a Zillion Things that can Affect Coral besides Light (Flow, Pests, Water Quality, etc.)

If you Click on the Link Above I give Many Tips on Keeping Zoanthids and Growing Them.

What are your Water Parameters?

Well I have seen an sps tank with just reefbrite strips. They use a mixture of there 50/50 strips with the all blue.

But

I had all my Zoas under an 8 bulb Ati fixture for 2 years and I was not impressed with the Zoas. They where small heads and very much flat against there base tissue. To me it was like to much light. That is why I moved them to a shallow tank with the 2 t5 bulbs and I added the reefbrite for the blue pop but I'm worried they r still getting to much light since the tank is so shallow. Only about 6 inches of water. Maybe I'm missing something??? Then tell me why the Zoas are not reaching at all and the heads r small. My understanding is when they don't get enough light they reach for the light? Mine are doing the opposite.

Right but you are using Multiple Strips not One Strip.

In Regards to the Zoanthids I am thinking it is something other than the Light.

You have 2 Bulbs, I have 4
My Zoanthids are Closer to the Light than Yours are.
My Tank is 12" Front to Back, Yours is 18" Front to Back

So Mine are getting Way more Light than Yours and They are Super Happy with Awesome Color and Growing Fast.

So I do not think you have Too Much Light.

I am thinking it is something else.

Alot of People Recommend PAR of around 200 for Zoanthids.

Maybe the Lights are on Too Long (11.5 Hours is a Long Time).

My Lights are on for 6 Hours a Day (4 Bulb T5 - All Blue Plus).

Zoanthids are 6 Inches Under the Light.

All Zoanthids are Doing Awesome in my Tanks.

I'm only running a total of 8 hours including the blue leds so only T5's for 5 hours.

Parameters are Good.

I would probably get a Triton Test Done.

It Tests for like 34 Things.

I have seen reports of people having issues with having High Amounts of Heavy Metals in their Water Which they Learned from Getting a Triton Test Done.

Sps tanks are thriving. I know it isn't anything but lighting. I'm not sure you really have any information that is going to help anyone outside of the information already out there. You haven't posted any pics of your systems like I asked and the weekend came and went so I'm thinking your zoas aren't as great as you say they are and just maybe you are full of it. Like they say no pics it didn't happen.

Sorry I didn't post any pics yet.

I am super busy with Work and Frag Swaps.

I have very very little free time.

I am Definetly Not "Full of It"

Maybe something got in the Water?

Corals are Super Sensitive.

One Tank I had was doing great for years.

Then all of a sudden all the Zoanthids Closed Up.

I did a ton of Huge Water Changes and used alot of Carbon to Pull anything out of the Water.

It didn't work.

So I put them in another Tank.

The Next Day they were all Open and Happy in the New Tank and have been Happy Ever Since.

Try Moving Your Zoanthids to your SPS Tank and See if that Helps.

How high is ur light above this tank and par values. I have the same setup
I run my 8 bulb ati 18” over my zoa system which is also 12” deep tank. I also have radions on either side but they are at about 2ft above the water and only run blues. Par averages 300-350, higher and lower in some spots
