I have my hanging kit for a 4 bulb tek fixture and am wondering how high I should hang it above the water to get a good range in par for a LPS tank with a Jawbreaker and some ricordia's.
Also in addition to that Im going from A 150w Sunpod(14k), to this T5, any advice about aclimation of corals would be great.
Thanks,
Stephen Tyrrell

Are you using a canopy?

Any changes in lighting should happen slowly IMO. I start about 12" over the water with a reduced photoperiod compared to what you ran before and look for any adverse reactions in your corals. Lower the light and increase your photoperiod every week or 2 as long as everything looks good.

Rev- Just using the 2 point hanging kit for it, no canopy.
Nuo- Thanks, 12" is where I was thinking on starting.
