My established (3+ months in the tank) Tailspot Blenny has disappeared and I'm not sure what could have happened.
I have an AIO so I checked the rear chambers to see if it possibly went there and didn't see anything. I have a lid, albeit with some small gaps on the side - no signs around the tank that it may have jumped.
I was gone for the day when it disappeared but prior was active, healthy, and eating well. Anyone know theirs to disappear and reappear, or is it safe to assume it died and the CUC has done its job already?

Depends on CUC, if you have carnivores, crabs, nassarius, bumble bee. Maybe. Or maybe its hiding under a rock waiting for you to get back... how long has it been missing...

Last seen about a day and a half ago, didn't come out for feeding which was when I realized something was up.
My CUC has a lot of crabs/nassarius so that might be it.

Hmmm, yeah maybe, but unlikely. Have you checked your sump? I had a clown swim down the overflow once. But it didnt get past the filter socks and was still alive!

how long did you have this fish? What other fish in the tank? what size is the tank? Is there a lot of rock in the tank? It could be hiding from a bully....

It's been about 3 months in the tank, it was the first fish in - there's only a clownfish pair in otherwise.
Tank is a 65 Gallon w/ 60lbs of live rock. Has always been out front/active and as far as I've seen the clowns have left it alone.

Very bashful probably hiding in plain site

Still alive? Cant imagine theres much food in the ato compartment...
Still alive, how it ate is what I'm scratching my head about - almost nothing gets back there except for maybe when I'm changing the socks. Definitely on the skinny side and pale, so will need to provide ample food in the coming days.

Maybe put a screen up??
Have one, can't image it got through this. Only thing I can figure is the weir which seems too narrow, or it jumped when I had the screen off to do some maintenance and my back was turned.
