Are there any detailed videos on how to take apart a Neptune Wav for cleaning? I have read online that there are tabs I’m supposed to press in order to take the cover off the pump and clean the impeller, but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What I do is drop them in the bucket filled with water and 10% citric acid and let it run for 24 hours. After that I run Wav a few minutes in RO water and all good for next 3-4 months.

Thanks, I’ve been doing similar with vinegar but don’t fell like I’m getting inside the housing.

There are no tabs to depress. The WAV impeller assembly has fixed tabs that are used to rotate and unlock the impeller assembly from the body of the WAV.

There are several versions of a 3D Printed Wrench available for disassembling the WAVs. I got mine from a guy in NJ, and it works like a charm...

Do you actually need the tool? Or can you remove the impeller by hand.

Mine are probably 4 years old (I have two) and one of the blades just broke off so I decided to order two new impellers before they eventually fail.
