It seems like most if not all members of Reef2Reef are actively involved in a hobby or hobbies other than the aquarium hobby. I know there are multiple talented photographers, musicians, and artists who are involved with Reef2Reef. This thread is where you share your other hobbies! Post link's to your fan pages, channels, etc. if you have them so those interested can stay current with and share your work!

I am a photographer, musician, and working on being a videographer when I am not spending time with the aquarium hobby.

As a photographer I focus on keeping things "organic", as I call it, in my work. I enjoy capturing non-staged/posed moments, and find that the final images are much more rewarding whenever I know I captured a moment that will never naturally occur again.

As a musician I cover and compose a lot of music centered around the piano. However, I am currently stepping out of those boundries to expand my musical knowledge and enjoyment.

I actually have made piano cover's of a lot of songs, such as Cinema-Skrillex, Iris-Goo Goo Dolls, Teenage Dream-Katy Perry(This one was accidentally created during freestyle time, haha), but I usually do not get time to film and upload them as I am working on music of my own more often than covering music.

As a videographer, this was the second legitimate video I filmed. You can see my inexperience in some parts of the video, hahaha. But practice makes perfect right?

Good stuff guys! I like to dabble in photography, but I pretty much stick to reef pics. I also enjoy brewing beer, but I'm an extract brewer. I haven't made the leap to all grain.... yet. Right now I have an Imperial Stout in secondary, hard cider in primary, and I just bottled a blackberry porter.

Not really. You just have to really mind the time while boiling and mashing, and you need to be very clean. Everything must be sterilized or you risk infection. But its a lot like getting into reefkeeping, lots of research makes a world of difference.

My first batch was extract, and it turned out......ok. Too much esters for my taste, and that was a result from high fermentation temps I learned afterword. All-grain brewing is where its at, its so much fun to sit around brewing. I love the smells as much as anything :lol:

I don't really have other hobbies that I'm as into as reefing. I like guns and I also dive. I'm sure there are a lot of people that do that though.
