When I Have Free Time...(Music)

For those that do not know from past threads and posts of mine, in addition to being interested in aquariums I also am greatly interested in music.

A few days ago I had some time to spare and started playing with different sounds on my keyboard, that I do not use often because sadly it lies towards the bottom of the totem pole in terms of quality. After playing the keyboard I went to the piano and came up with a rather simple song, that I composed so it could be complimented by other instruments.

My final result was this:

Pretty cool K.. never was the musical type... just into sports my whole life. But Prop to you and your musical and photo talent. sometimes i wish i was more artistic. My kids would liek me todraw them better things than stick figures.. LOL

Thanks. I play sports too, but if I had to pick a side I would say I am slightly more on the artistic side. Hahahah, at least stick figures do a good job at serving their purpose.

Thank you! I would really enjoy pursuing music in a career sense, but I am not sure if that will ever happen. I will keep my hopes up though! I really need a nice synthesizer so I can compose better music but I just can not afford it right now.

Dude! That was awesome! I tried to learn to play guitar a few years ago. Didn't go very well. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! That is an instrument on my instruments to learn list, hahaha. It never really goes well until you are a few years in, unless you are a musically blessed person.

The best advice I can give both of you guys about the guitar is pick up a cheap fender strat. You cannot learn to play the guitar on an acoustic IMO. Once you are comfortable on an electric and build up the calluses then grab an intro acoustic with classical strings. Been playing an acoustic since I was 15, started on a solid oak electric when I was 12, Can't beat the sound of an acoustic guitar.

I agree. I play guitar a bit so when anyone tells me they want to learn how to play and shows me an acoustic I put a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinkys on there for them. Tone isn't as good but it's much easier for someone to learn on.
