tang police, i have some questions?

I currently have a 135 full mixed reef tank. 30 go fuge, 40 gl frag tank, and a 50gl sump.

Tank houses 3 tangs, 4 wrasses, blenny and pair of clowns.
tangs are a yellow belly hippo, yellow tang, and a sohal tang.

Question is can I add 1-2 more smaller medium size tangs?

I am by no means a Tang expert, but I would be careful what you add. That Sohal could possibly attack any other tang you put in. If he doesn't then they yellow could. I know that the sohal will need very large tanks when full grown.

Sohal should be 180 and above. They can be very bold

I would stick with three, add some anthias or something if you are looking for more bright movement in the tank. Crowding too many tangs in just gives you a higher chance of a devastating ick outbreak

you should go out and buy a crown for the sohal cuz hes gonna rule your tank

i have a 450 gallon tank with a hippo,yellow,achilles,purple,orange shoulder,tenniti. I've added a few others, but they have always fought afterwards so unfortunately i think I'm done with tangs. just my experience, but if i were you i wouldnt add any more.

i would agree, stick with what you have and look for fish that are more suitable for your setup. i would say that 3 tangs is already to many, and 2 of the 3 that you have are known to be pretty aggressive anyway.

No Tang Police Badge here, but is it a particular fish you want or are you looking for Big fish?

Rabbit fish are excellant algae eaters and are non aggressive as a whole
A carefully chosen Angel sounds like a great addition for animal husbandry..
How about a "reef safe" eel or Trigger?

I say you have enough. I have a 300 gallon with a sohal, yellow, powder blue, clown and achilles tang. Its too many for my 300 so I am actually getting rid of the sohal as he and the clown are the 2 that need the most space to themselves. When they get bigger they get less tolerate of other tangs in there territory. Let them have as much space to themselves as you can or they will get stressed and fight and be fiesty all the time leading to ick and other problems. Good luck

the prob i find with tangs is "new guy on the block" syndrome
i also have three tangs in a 135 and tried to add a forth but everyone got ick and the new guy ended up dead in a week - luckily the other three went back to normal
once their heirarchy is established adding another screws up the balance and everyone gets stressed out
- i keep getting the urge to try just one more time but better judgment wins out
