I was thinking 3 might be too much but I can dream lol. I think i might go with a kole as it will help with some algae
My experience says while tangs graze a bit, a foxface is more like a lawn mower on steroids.

They are beautiful, peaceful, just chill.

I love my foxface, it has grown so much since I've gotten it

I agree with the Kole tang. It's a beautiful fish and eats algae all day long. I also like Powder Browns and Purples. Those 3 would likely mix well too.
I've had a yellow, brown and Kole at the same time and they were good buddies.

I would do yellow, powder brown and yellow kole in your tank size. They would get along most likely and size is ok for those three! I had all three in 90 and then moved to 300gal. I have a purple and tomini in 93 cube which is a little too small truthfully. But will see. Let us know.

I see why they kind of look like the Achilles, love that contrast on them

I have nothing to add other than I understand your passion.... I just purchased a 200 gallon... (200 display+ 100 sump) because I've fallen in love with tangs. I have a yellow in a 50 right now and will move her to the big tank when I get it running/cycled. I would like 2-3 others but haven't done the research to ascertain what would be appropriate. The square tail pictured above is stunning. Anyone have suggestions?

Please quarantine ick in the display tank is awful! And the tangs are so susceptible to it. I added a perfectly healthy beautiful foxface didn’t seem like it had ick or velvet but whipped out my tank of tangs in 2 weeks! Now we quarantine everything no matter the source. And we have an awesome LFS, the owner felt horrible because he didn’t know the foxface was carrying the ick or velvet. We keep at least two tangs in all three tangs. Have Sohal and scopas in 180. The Sohal is over 10yrs old and beautiful. She doesn’t seem to mind the smaller tank we got her from someone that had her in a 75. Sohal is model citizen. But too big for 120. I should have a bigger tang but she is happy and fat now. .

Powder Brown, the blues get bigger. I didn't realize he only had a 90 gallon. 3 tangs would likely be too much. A Kole tang would be great, or a powder brown
if you didn't want a yellow. I'd love an Achilles but I only have a 120 gallon and I think they get too big for that size. I guess that means its time for a 300 gallon or larger :)
Wait, I'd have to win the lottery or find another job in order to support it. Scratch that.

Lavender and just about all acanthurus tangs need 6 feet or 180 gallon minimum tank size. They also grow to 8 inches in length.

I’d say choose a bristletooth other than chevron, either a purple, yellow (I know you don’t want), yellow scoops, scopes, or black rang, or about the only acanthurus I think would be suitable is a convict tang.

There is too much powder blue/ powder brown talk on this thread. A 120 is not big enough.
