Tank background

I am in the process of setting up a replacement tank for my 60g and I need to come up with a background without using a background if that makes any sense. I painted the back of my 60 blue which I liked, but I don't want to paint my new, much more expensive tank. I was thinking of doing something to the wall behind the tank, rather than paint the tank itself. Has anybody tried this and if so, how did it look? I am thinking either using black/blue tile, black wall paper, etc on the wall directly behind the tank. The wall itself is a light brown which wouldn't look good. The tank is drilled from the bottom so I don't really need to hide any wires or anything (only running a Gyre atm).

I painted my new set up black and I love it that way. Makes my black overflow box disappear. And I think paint would scrape off easy enough if you wanted rid of it.

I think they have vinyl's you can slap on there or buy your own and paint it peels right off when your done :)

I have heard of some people putting limo window tint on it to darken it up.

Get can of spray paint, tape off areas so no spill, paint the outside. Let dry, go back and touch up areas. Done.

get plasti dip, it comes in black and blue and is in a spray can. if you don't like it, once it is dry you can peel it off the glass.
