I just collected 25 gallons of NSW. I will add 25 gallons of ASW and do a 50 gallon water change. I think I still have some sponge toxins in there because my corals are not opening all the way.

This is my friend who helped me because he has 2 working arms and I don't right now.

I am glad you liked it. Thank you. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Normally I throw a bilge pump in the sea. But it's much faster like this. Also when I do that I get way more seaweed and sand because the pump sits on the bottom. I still get a lot of seaweed as you can see on the beach, but it is easy to filter it out. It is dirty and brown no matter how I collect it.

After I clean it, it disappears. It's freshly collected here

Atoll. I just read it. OMG, I'm famous. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

On the other hand, one good example of someone with a supposedly anecdotal experience is Paul Baldassano.

Paul preaches feeding with quality live food and introducing fish infected with parasites to your reef system on purpose.

What you may be interested to know about him, however, is that he has a 100-gallon reef tank that is almost 50 years old.

Some of his fish are also 25+ years old and constantly spawning, yet he has never quarantined a new addition.

Though this alone says enough about his expertise, you could call it an anecdotal experience, right?

Some would say yes, but given the lifespan of his reef tank compared to people who religiously quarantine fish and still experience aquarium crashes I would say it’s highly unlikely.

Paul was a great inspiration for me and one of the reasons I tried treating Ich in my display reef tank.

I have been a little busy changing 50 gallons of water. I collected it and filtered it and now I am heating it. I fill 5 gallon thin plastic jugs with hot water and float them in my vats. In 30 minutes they are all heated. I test the salinity and change it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

All this using only one hand remember. :anguished-face:

Both famous and infamous Paul :>)
I know, so many people just want me to get stung by 37 long spined urchins and go away. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I haven't seen this fish since I put it in my tank April 8th. I just found him today happy and healthy in the back of the tank behind the UG filter tubes. I guess he lives there and I will never see him out in the open. I have a few fish like that.

This is off subject but have a look this was in my local car park. One that has come across the pond

It doesn't look bad after that long saltwater swim. :)
Yep dodge don’t know much about it love the stretched out old American cars . That car is no good over here our petrol prices are through the roof. I also love the old pick ups . People have them layed in barns untouched for years great places for the old motors . Do them up and put a modern engine in them and a load of horse power . Lol

How would one of these guys get along with a Griessingeri do you think?

I love the Callogobius species but fear they’d potentially predate on a Griessinger’s Goby.

I have no idea what that is. :anguished-face:

But we have plenty of old pick up trucks from the 20s and older here. They are in front of most of the farm stands all over the place in horrible condition but you can still get working models. I want a model A ford either pick up or car but I need to rent another garage to put it because I live next to the sea and it would rot away.
