I did go to the sea today but it was very cold, dark and windy so I didn't get any good sunrise pictures. Just waves.

I ripped out about 3lbs of that algae. It is basically only on one rock so I removed it and bleached it. I still have a lot of it but I want to keep it under control.

The shoulder is coming along nicely. I just finished decorating the inside of my house and put up the tree.

This is last year, but I am getting there. 😎

Paul a couple of reefers said that you have a miracle cure for black sponge . Would you remember what it is . I’ve been dealing with this for over a year . Thank you is advance . CoralB

Congrats Paul! I wonder if you have the worlds oldest established tank? Maybe give Guinness a call..........for the book of world records, not the beer. Well you could call the one for the book of records first and then the one for the beer later...
Ha !

Love that live edge table! The edge looks like Koa wood.
Thanks, it's red oak and it was cut down a few blocks from here. I built that last year. It had LED lights under it.

No, not a real cure. I had to take out the rocks the sponge was on and bleach them. But my sponge wasn't black, t was blue and looked like montipora.

It's all this blue suff.

The sun doesn't rise over the sea any more. I think it is afraid of the water so it rises more to the south. Maybe it only likes ASW. 🙄

The sea was a little rough this morning and most of our beach is gone. It's a DSB anyway so it will return.

This site is weird. Sometimes I get a notification of a new post on this thread then they stop. Had no notification since last week so went to look for Paul's thread and found there had been a number of posts. Strange.
I don't get notifications for any post on any forum. And that's just the way I like it. My wife notifies me enough about all sorts of things, most of which I don't want to get notified about.

Yes, beautiful, and if I wanted a tank of just that, it would be fine. But if I slept near the tank, it would cover me. 🙄

I do love that table, but I like this one even better. This is how I found this piece of tree root on the shore of the Hudson River in New York behind my Daughters house.

I had to cut pieces off of it to get it in my car. Then I had to power wash it 3 times to remove mussels, barnacles and oysters. Then I bleached it. I also had to add 3 more pieces of driftwood to make it stand straight and hold the glass top.

Here it is finished

Paul, I love this thread. I come on here regularly to read the updates about your tank and your life in general.
I’m inspired by your fish tank. I started my own tank around 3 years ago but I still consider myself a student to this hobby.
I really enjoy your humour and your stories. You have a beautiful family and wonderful network of friends because you place so much value on those nearest you.
Please keep telling your stories, they make me smile.
