Thanks Guys. We got to the hospital at 4:30 this morning and just got home.

We didn't think they had to knock her out for this, but they did. It was pretty invasive as he had to burn he nerve that controls the right side of her face using a probe. Not too much I hope. We don't know if it worked yet because she is still swollen and I think they stuck some pain killer in there.

Hopefully, tomorrow we will know.

Glad the procedure went ahead. Fingers crossed it will work 100% for Dale. I guess you wont know for a good few days. Stay positive, sending you both best wishes and luck.

I took off her bandage this morning and I was very surprised that there is little swelling and black and blue. But the surprising thing is that she looks exactly like Angelina Jolie. 😎

Actually, she looks a lot better than her.
She thinks that main pain is gone. It's hard to tell because it is still sore from the procedure, but I think this will turn out OK. At least I hope so.

The last time she had this Ryzotomy 15 years ago it wasn't invasive at all. It was just radiation. This time, they knocked her out and inserted a probe in her face and burned the nerve in different places. He had to keep waking her up to ask her where the pain was and it was very painful but they put something in the anesthetic, so she doesn't remember that.

I'm glad she still remembers me. 😬

Dale is on the way to a full pain free recovery.
Thanks. I really hope so. There has to be something that works for her. Not much else does.

My fish seem fine, I can tell because many of them are doing the Macarena.
I have no idea how many fish I have because I have so many small, colorful gobies, dragonettes and bleenes along with the "real" fish, but I imagine I have about 40 or so.

None of these

Of course no spots, torn fins, pop eye, urenema, ich, arthritis, irritable bowel or anything like that. They just swim around, eat and poop but what else do fish have to do except mate and a few are doing that, a little too much I think and it is annoying.

I haven't messed with the tank much in the last year due to my wife's handicap and condition but if I want to see the fish I do have to clean the glass every other day and they get fed "almost" every day.

They still get live whiteworms a few times a week along with LRS food. I really need to feed the worms because I have a long nose butterfly and their mouth is so small they can't fit in much other food except tiny mysis, pieces of clam or worms.

I still feed my Dwarf Red Waspfish live earthworms but they only eat once a week or less.

I never have to mess with the Mandarins as they are about the easiest fish there is and need no care from me.

There is some algae and cyano in places but I consider that a good thing and not something I am going to throw myself off a cliff or anything for.

I just figured I would post something about fish for once.

Paul's occasional pics of their waspfish are great! One of the very few we get to see. Is the shoulder good enough to work in the tank yet? I was thinking you still had a ways to go.
I love Waspfish. I would like to get some more but they are kind of rare. 🙄

My shoulder is coming along nicely. The only issue is that I have two new shoulders, both of which were reverse surgeries. When you get to my age, and your rotator cuffs look like my 25-year-old anchor line on my boat, the rotator cuff is not used for a reverse shoulder replacement because it is useless. I think they just tie it up and stuff it somewhere in your body, so they don't have to pay to cart it away. That leaves you with not too much strength overhead, but I am retired and do not have to lift heavy things over my head any longer. I still can lift things, just not like when I was 20. Not even JoJo Starbuck the figure skater. (Google her)

The operation leaves you with limited motion so I can't reach behind my back. I can't, for instance, thread my belt through the loops and have to take off my pants to do that. I also have trouble sleeping as I can't stretch my arm over my head to lie on my side.

But those are small things and don't stop me from doing the macarena or getting into Tango contests. 😆

Atoll. Dale seems better and the initial pain is gone. It left her with some numb places in her jaw but much better than that horrible pain. The surgical pain is also mostly gone, just sore.

I am so very happy for her may God be look out for her

Last night she had some sharp ear pain. I hope that is from the surgery and dissipates this morning. That trigeminal nerve comes out of your skull just behind your ear.
