Today I am a little nervous, and I never get nervous unless I see a fish I really want and find out it was quarantined so I can't get it.

My 2 Janss Pipefish are supposed to arrive here Thursday and unfortunately, on Thursday my 11-year-old Grand Son is coming for a visit by himself. That isn't the bad part but I will have to keep him occupied for a couple of days and it takes a lot to do that.

The worst part is that they are paving the street in front of my house right up to my front door. (we don't have sidewalks here.)
I am not sure how the Fed Ex or UPS truck will get here to deliver the package. 😳

If my Grand Son wasn't coming, I would just stay outside the paving area and wait for the truck, then somehow levitate myself and the fish to my house. I recently lost a few more pounds and now weigh less than when I got married 52 years ago but I am still not light enough to fly. 🥺

I have to figure this out because those Janss Pipefish are really the only fish I want and I have been searching for them for years.

I have only seen 3 of them in my life and I got two. I think they were both males and one killed the other one which lived for 7 years.
They only eat mysis but I feed that every day and if these pipes come in alive I will try to feed them twice a day.

Janss Pipes are very rare and you never see them. I don't like common fish and these are not quarantined or medicated so they seem perfect. 😆

I think I have only gotten 3 or 4 fish through the mail and those were during Covid. I don't trust the mail to much. 😬

Can't you message/ call the LFS tell.them your dilemma and get the courier to call you just before they are due to deliver?
Failing that could they be delivered to a neighbours house not having the works done. Then get your neighbour to ring you when they have arrived?
Another is asking the guys doing the work outside to look out for the delivery van. They could then tell the driver they will ring you. You would have to give one of the guys your phone number of course.
Good luck I hope you get you're fish safely.

Unfortunately, they are paving everywhere, including all my neighbors' houses. But I will figure it out. I also don't know which carrier he is using.

On my walk I came across this boat chained to a rock. The boat probably weighs 100lbs and the rock is about 10 tons so I doubt it will be swept out to sea.

On my way there, I came across this deer.

She allowed me to walk right up to her which has never happened.

I thought I was alone on the beach, until I looked up and saw them looking at me.

OK. Just ask the LFS which courier is delivering them.

On the other hand, any Long Islander worth his salt could pick that lock with a Bobbie Pin.
I am very experienced using C-4 explosive. 😳
They are avaible from time to time but quite expensive here in the UK
Everything seems expensive in the UK. I think it's either the Beatles or the Royal family. 😎

and as I am not a loyalist am happy to blame them 😆
Atoll. Be careful I think they read these threads and I know they still have that torture chamber in Buckingham Palace. 😵‍💫

Youre wrong Paul. The torture chambers are in the tower not in the palace. The palace is where other naughty things happen. Randy Andy can vouch for that 😉

The pipefish stayed in the post office in Ohio over night. They forgot to ship them or were too lazy. I am supposed to get them today, but pipefish have little sense of humor and need to eat every 10 seconds and I am not sure how much they will find to eat in the bag so my hopes are not to high.

I will let you know if they need mouth to snout some time today.

PS, My Grand Son is still here. He is sleeping on the deck of a neighbors house with their son like Tarzan so we will also see how that works out. 😬

Hmmmm, not good... the pipefish not the grandson. Hope they are in plenty of water and survive. However, even if they survived the journey will they still make it beyond a week or so? Good luck and I know you will have plenty of food for them.when they arrive. 👍

They are only in the bag for 2 days and I just bought $40.00 worth of small mysis for them

I feed mysis every day along with clams and worms anyway but I got some smaller ones because these pipes are small and thats all my last Janss Pipefish ate. 😎

Wouldn't think they would eat clams
White worms, black worms mysis and pods good to go.
