Hey Dogtown ... oh no please pardon my "bad" English as it's not my mother tongue :p. I'm in no position to tell off anyone here ... I'm just a fly on the go ... :D PEACE ;)!!

It’s all good and thanks. This is probably my favorite thread and Im always learning from the many experienced people on it, with Paul as our leader. The humor side is great too. Cheers!

Atoll I built my first ozonizer from a Neon transformer. The thing weighed about ten lbs and was huge. It created about 160,000 volts and made a huge spark. It did make Ozone but I am not sure how much. The thing used too much electricity so I took it apart and used that transformer for other things. I forgot what I made out of it but I bet it was very cool.

Humor and a mixture of 'lil bit sarcasm

SeaMunnkey, there is no room in this serious and austere hobby for humor. This is all very serious and important.

By the way, It is so cold here I seen a chicken with a Cape-on

With that size Paul are you sure it was hot rather than cool ;)

Talking about old gear, I phoned the Tunze distributor this morning asking if they had a pic's of my old model of skimmer called the DKS I believe. They said they do and would send me one or two. This is the first venturi I bought around 30 plus years ago. My first skimmer being a small sander air driven following which I converted it into a venturi skimmer using a Hagen 200 powerhead. The DKS was a heck of a beast an boy did it pull some gunk out and I believe would give many skimmers today a run for their money. Luckily the guy I spoke to was a geezer and knew exactly the skimmer I described to him. When I have them I will post the pic and info on it.

I also had the first Sanders Ozonizer. I took it apart so I could build my Neon Transformer one.

I also bought my first Sanders, counter current skimmer. Then I built something else out of it and started to build my own. My 5' skimmer now uses my home made Venturi valve. They work great and cost about two bucks. I don't know how much that is in English money and I am not sure what you guys use now. Deblunes, pounds, Euro's WamPum, Franks (or franks and beans) Oatmeal cookies, etc.

Thats my cell phone on the wall. The cord is just so I don't lose it.
That round thing is my temperature gauge. It is from the boiler room in the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. If the temperature isn't exactly where I want it to be, I just bend the needle in the gauge. :)

Also, my wire management is fine because I am an electrician so I get a pass.

Good old English/British £ pounds still Paul $2 is approximately £1.40 Pounds.
I wish I had taken pic's of the things I built as long as 37 years ago like reactors, filters, skimmers, lights and the like. :(

I don't need pictures, I am still using some of that stuff.

I know my new workbench in my new house will be much larger than this one, but I am going to miss this one immensely. It's going to take me years to find anything.

Which book are you talking about?

What do you mean which book? The one I wrote that is as exciting as War and Peace, more controversial than the Bible, More action than "Superman VS Batman".
Longer than "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus". Better pictures than National Graphic, That book. Sheese
