Just picked up an acrylic frag tank. I was wondering if it would be safe to do a good cleaning/scrubbing on it using a citric acid/water mix? Using BRS citric acid like you would for cleaning pumps. Then doing a good water soak and rinse afterwards.

I’ve used the vinegar and water mix numerous times over the years. I recently tried the citric acid on my pumps and worked great. Main reason I switched was, I’d been told that the vinegar is somewhat harsh on rubber (gaskets) and thought I’d try and see how I liked it.
