watched YouTube video from a guy who says his Red Sea 450 sump cracked because his tank was not level

I put a digital level on mine today which has no water. My tank is .2 (point 2) degrees out from perfect level. Now he has me paranoid. Should i shim out the .2?

Thanks

Did you not use the little screw on feet for your stand? They work great to level the stand perfectly.

Edit: I am assuming you have a Red Sea 450 also...if not then ignore my comment. :)

Hi yes it’s a 450

There were not and adjustable feet on mine?
The feet were just little Resin feet unless I’m blind

You got adjustable feet?

Yes, I got a bunch, (like 26 I think) of adjustable feet and a couple little wrenches to adjust them as well as the feet you got. Screwing them all in and adjusting them was a pain, but it got my tank perfectly level. I thought I took pictures when I was adjusting them, but I cannot find them.

Edit: If it makes any difference, my tank is a 750 XXL, but I don't see why they wouldn't come with all the models since they all need to be level regardless of tank size.

Yea I definaltey didn’t get any adjustable feet
Just the little plastic things on the bottom of the base

Should I be concerned

The picture shows .1 but it fluctuates between .1 and .2

I sure wouldn't be concerned. A tank out of level is more of an eyesore than a risk for damage. Imperfections in the surface resulting in a tank that is not sitting flush is more of problem which is why a mat is used under tanks with no lip on the bottom. When i built tanks I always kept the bottom raised about 1/2" and did not use any padding.
