Hi All,

Working on stocking our mixed reef waterbox 135.4. Currently we have:
-Kole Tang
-Yellow Tang
-Pair of Clowns
-Pintail Wrasse

We are considering adding the following:
-Carpenters wrasse
-Cleaner wrasse
-Firefish

What else can we stock in this tank? We would love another tang (assuming it acclimated with the yellow okay) or something else...... Any suggestions?

I would consider a trio of Lyretail anthias and maybe a smaller angel (Genicanthus -- reef safe, or Centropyge -- some may nip at coral). I think 3 tangs would be too much for your tank.

Was thinking anthias would be harder to keep with their eating frequencies.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I think a neon goby would definitely be better than a cleaner wrasse. Are you guys suggesting 3 wrasses instead of 3 tangs then?

Tank is 4 ft long

Two tangs in that tank is probably already pushing it IMO. And you should have introduced them last, not the first few fish unless you were having a pretty aggressive tank. More peaceful fish in first

I'm the wrong person to ask as I have a tang only/dominant tank that would make tang police heads spin then explode hahaha

We would love another tang in there too. But I was considered with overcrowding too.

Was thinking anthias would be harder to keep with their eating frequencies.

If you feed 2-3x a day they are fine. All depends how often you feed. Also I would skip the firefish as it's very likely to get bullied in that tank given that it's brightly colored and by far the smallest fish. My Purple Firefish was a bully magnet and was literally the number 1 target of any slightly assertive fish I put in there.

Really? I’d have the to clownfish so I don’t think he’d be the smallest.
