Tank + Sump size

Time for some math! I have a new Waterbox 150.4 and the display tank is filled up and lightly salted. The display is 105 gallons, the sump volume is listed as 37 gallons, is that filled to the top or at operating levels? I am filling via a hose from my mixing station with unsalted ro/di and adding the salt as I start to circulate. I just want to find my total water volume within a margin of error. I will add more salt as needed to get to my target and start my DrTims cycle and ammonium chloride this weekend after I am up to temperature. Any help is welcome!
 
sump volume is generally advertised filled to the top.

I just guess what volume is in my tank. Sump is a 60g breeder. Though you can only run it at 12" height so let's say 40g. Display 180g. About 3-4 inches of sand and will be about 130lbs of rock solid lets say 130g. So my guess of a 180g and 60g sump operating volume would be around 170g. No science to figure displacement
 
Pump and heaters are running, I have to dial in the drain and return, I will upgrade to rèfmat 1200 soon, and posted in the incorrect place!

If you are putting water in the tank followed with salt, I would not recommend this procedure. Instead, use a Brute plastic trashcan to mix your saltwater, test it to 1.026 and then use a pump to put said water into tank. I worry about inadequately mixed saltwater doing it the way I think your doing it.

Thanks for the advice. I know its not the best way, but it will be a good long time before I am ready for livestock, and I am running my return and two gyres, so I am comfortable with the mix and time to dissolve. I was looking to find my tank+sump volume within a reasonable amount. I have ended up with 105 in display and 25 for plumbing and sump. As I make adjustments, I will be able to get closer
 
To determine the actual water volume, take inches LXWXH divide by 231 (of the water level in tank and sump. Bear in mind rock will displace water.
 
Note that the advertised volumes are to the outside of the glass (so include the glass volume) and assume you’re filling the system right up to the rim.

You’ll need to work out your glass thickness, how deep you actually have the tanks filled, then subtract out any rock and sand volume.

Or if you have testing equipment that goes to a suitable degree of accuracy you can add a known quantity of salt/alk/etc and then test before and after to work out your actual water volume.
