It is also up to the client to maintain or hire someone to maintain the tank after it is set up. If they fail to do so, like any other tank, it will fail.

The tanks they build are neat and unique but most of the ones they show are almost impossible to clean. They built a tank at Shane Victorino's house that was like 20' tall. You would have to swim in it to clean it.
Yah did you see the Achilles tang CRUISING laps in a circle going nuts in there as it was only like 4-5 ft wide! That poor fish looked like it was going crazy!!

I posted something about this show a month ago .. IT IS TERRIBLE DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED! lol ... not to mention their reading their "lines" off of cue cards .. watch their eyes when they show the 2 of them talking about something .. you can see their eyes looking to the left or right following along and then jumping in with their next line or sentence immediately after or when it is their turn. Man that show is terrible.

And I am sure they are cool guys .. that not really the question.... it's how bad the show is. Goooood lord its beyond watching. And that is saying alot when I'm a reef addict just like everyone else and I love seeing anything saltwater fish or corals and I wont even turn that on.

BTW .. Im a huge animal lover (as most people are) and does anyone else feel that animal planets programming is borderline garbage now? When I want to see something about animals, I would think I could turn that network on and see "animal programming" .. instead there is something on about "ice cold gold miners" or digging for gold -- amongst the other garbage that is on there now. They need some new stuff. (Again maybe it is just me on that one...oh well.)

Tanked, and the company it promotes, has been called into questions of ethics and morals, many time by members of the aquarium hobby, and contentious aquarists. Why Animal Planet and Discovery Networks even airs the show, questions their credibility. It shows you that money is all a network hears, when you have a show like Tanked, then a show like Whale Wars, airing on the same network. Tanked makes our hobby look like a joke, and fuels many conservationists to set their sights on the aquarium hobby. They treat fish like disposable decorations, and create environments that are unsuitable for aquatic life. On the flip side, they make viewers believe that setting up a marine aquarium is easy, and you can just dump difficult to keep species in, with no prior knowledge. When they do get called on the carpet, (One shark is dead, another is wounded at new Applebee?s*aquarium in Coney Island - NY Daily News) like took place here, they respond with arrogance.
