Definitely used tap H2O but this was back in the late 70s. Today, I use RODI with well water. Calcium is naturally really high here. Works really well.

That is a very sad story. Pesticides in your water? Not on topic, but I eat all organic and have done so since the late 1990’s when it wasn’t in vogue and was difficult to find. I’m sorry that you and millions of Americans have to deal with that.
Thats great! Do you know the tds of Vancouvers tap water? Do you have copper pipes? It can be done if you’re fortunate enough to live in an area with good tap water (Vancouver, Canada). My mixed reef tank (will be 5 yrs in Dec) uses tap with Prime.
Omg ;Joyful I think I peed a little, so funny, really needed it.They put alot of Sulphur in the tap around my parts so people don't grow weed in there apts
My tap water is very hard but I live in the country on a well. I just used 15 gallons in my 90 to perform a water change and everything is still doing just fineI used tap water for many years with no problems keeping fish, zoas and some lps. The last 5 years I’ve been using rodi mostly because of the sps bug. I did run a tank recently with tap for about 8 months with no real problems. This was also fish, lps and zoas. Recently bought a home with a well and I wouldn’t try it again.
