Tapatalk for smartphones

For those that have smartphones, there is an App called Tapatalk that allows you to browse forums from your phone. There are 2 versions one that is pay & one that is free, the pay one is much better since you can post in the forums. The local club in my area is on it, so I thought Rev could look into it for R2R as well!:wink:

Is Tapatalk that much better or different than just browsing the forums using the phones web browser?
On my iphone, the forums seem just the same to use as when on the cpu.

tapatalk on my g1 didn't seem very impressive... the free one that is.... i just picked up the latest and greatest iphone 3gs but have'nt tried the app. on the g1 it was just a beta version with no pics or anything....im cool with the regular net unless there is something different i didnt see....dunno:(

If you find yourself constantly resizing to read the post on your iphone. You will enjoy Tapatalk. IMO its a little more efficient to browse with the tapatalk app versus safari. The down side if you want to consider it that, the pictures are thumbnails and you will have to click on them to see a larger version.

Other than having it freeze up or crash every once in a while, I think its a great app. Give it a shot. Another nice feature I like about it is that it carries over your subscribed threads and allows you to read and reply to your PMs.

Give the free version a shot. But the pay version is what you'll want. If you have a JB iphone you could always try before you buy. A added bonus, is that more than likely any other forum you browse might also be viewable via tapatalk and you can search for them in the app.

I always wondered what the tapatalk was. I have the T-Mobile My Touch 3G phone. As far as I can tell I dont have any problems browsing the forums except for when I click on a photo. It will just be a black/dark picture. Will the free tapatalk help this?
