I have read online multiple opinions on how often to target feed coral. Some say once a week, and I have seen as often as nightly. I was hoping you would answer in the poll and answer a couple questions for me.

1. What food are you feeding?
2. Are you targeting different corals different foods or at a different frequency?
3. Do you enrich your food with anything? Ex: Amino Acids, Reef Energy

I currently use Reef Energy nightly and target feed everything a mix of mysis, roe, plankton, and fish once a week. I also use @Reef Nutrition Phyto-Feast 2-3 times a week and Oyster Feast 3-4 times a week to keep my filter feeders happy.

My NO3 is usually 2-5 and PO4 around .02-.04 via Red Sea tests.

@david p. What do you use in your feeding?

@david p. Do you mind me asking what you use when you make your homemade powder food?

@Reef Nutrition forgot to mention that the R.O.E. I feed is yours too. I have tried a selection of y our food from my LFS but have pretty much settled in on those 3. I have tried Mysis Feast to try to to avoid thawing out frozen and save time and Arcti-Pods to try to get a pair of mandarins on a prepared food but nothing in my tank truly liked either them. I am in the middle of redoing my live stock in my tank, I am down to two leopard wrasse (who are staying) and an orange stripe kole tang (who is leaving); I am planning on restocking with a harem of leopard wrasses, I have a mated pair of green mandarins who eat frozen mysis, and we are going to do an assortment of gobies and anthias. What foods would you recommend I try?

Those 3 products are as good as it gets for your purpose and animal types. Beta-Brine would be another one to try, but sounds like you have some picky fish if they aren't eating the Arcti-Pods or Mysis-Feast. It can also be difficult to get fish to eat a variety if they are so picky; the food size might be an issue here.

I'll target feed whenever the mood strikes me. That usually ends up being 2-3 times a month. I use Reef Roids and Oyster Feast, sometimes I'll mix the two up.

Another question for you that is more relevant for this thread. Do you have a recommended food/particle size for Favia? I have one that it seems all my stuff is ridiculously small or too big that I end up cutting to feed it...

i don't have all the list on paper, but it's like freeze dried rotifer/krill/copepods/mysis , phyto, spirulina, nori. I know a guys that work in a pisciculture facility and i get the raw mats. i don't have a recepe, but mix what i can get.

What about fish eggs? Our R.O.E. is approximately 700-1500 microns.

Here's my philosophy on feeding. I do also use Reefnutrition products.

Our garden eels love your R.O.E., my wrasse do as well. I haven't seen the favia tack to it but I will try tonight and see if it appreciates it.
