Sounds like either your calcium level is way low, or your kit is faulty. Contact the company and they should be able to go through the process with you and give you tips.

This is what I would try. Take a picture of your test after step 5. Follow the following steps and keep adding drop by drop to see if a color change happens again. Sometimes coloring could be off. If not I would reach out to company as previously mentioned.

Tanks been running 2 months now. What would be some signs of really low calcium? I have some corals.

Hammer, duncan, xenia, zoas, elegance coral, and a monti that's been struggling since a flame angle i had was nipping at it. Fungi plate coral and RFA. All doing well from what I can see besides the monti.

Several of those corals will use calcium carbonate in the water. If they are growing rapidly, you'll need to get some liquid calcium. Also, if you don't have any trace elements and mineral supplements, you may want to get those too. Also, all of your snails and inverts use it too.

This came with my test kit. I also do have a lot of inverts. Hermets, snails, cleaner shrimp, blue coral banded shrim, tiny pistols shrimp, pom pom crab, and a emerald crab. Lol like em more than fish honestly. Could my levels be depleated?

Most likely. Give that stuff a go and see what happens. Also, how old is your kit? If you use that supplement and still get the same results, then it's definitely the test kit.

Try watching the video that's at the end of the pictures. It may help. Their site is full of extremely helpful resources and videos.

Soo i got things squared with these test. And my level were in range and will keep testing. But I will say I don't really like the process of these test. Lol. So im looking into a phosphate test and was going to get the algae control pack from red sea that comes with the nitrate test also. But im reconsidering, and looking at the hanna test. So my question is for a newer tank would I need the low range or high range test?? Or both? Sorry for the paragraph lol.
