Day 5 of cycle and here my results. Which test kit should I believe?

Ph Api 8.2 Salifert 8.3
Ammonia Api 2ppm salifert 0.25
Nitrite Api 0 Salifert 0.1

I know I added 2ppm of ammonia from Dr. Tims.

I'd usually trust salifert more, but that's just bias, and has nothing to do with your results.
Either way you need to lower that ammonia.

How long before you tested did you add the ammonia? The bacteria can uptake it rather quickly and I'd also trust the salifert test.
Are you testing for Nitrates?

Looks like the ammonia was converted into nitrites so your on your way. Now you just need them to turn them into nitrates. If it was me I'd bring the ammonia back up to 2ppm.
There's no fish in this tank correct? (Just making sure)

No fish. I have tested daily and used api up until yesterday was first time using salifert. I will test all again today with both. I have read about a few rare cases that the bacteria in Dr. Tims was dead. I will give it a few more days.
