Tetra Tanks

I just got a Tetra 40b tank and have heard some people saying that the tanks are really poor quality and tend to start leaking. I was wondering if anyone has or had a tetra tank and what your experience with the tank was?

I've never owned a tetra brand tank, but I've owned cheap tanks in the past. One sprung a slow leak where I lost so little water that it took me several months to realise it was leaking and the loss of water wasn't evaporation. Other than that I haven't had issues.
Perhaps just add some extra silicon to the seals to be safe?
