Eradicating Monti Eating Nudis.
Plan A:
- Dip the Montis for 10 minutes
- Get the Digi off the frag plug & scrape off eggs
- Keep an eye on the frags in the tank

Plan B:
- Use the Halichoeres as a method of defence
- Dip again
- Reintroduce into the 3’

So far I’m on Plan A (Will be keeping an eye out for the next 2-3 days and if I see any nudis then Plan B will be in place).

Plan A is the best route.
I had monti eating nudis in my previous tank that had multiple halichoeres wrasses but they had no effect on the nudis. I lost every monti. I'm still nervous to add montis bc of those little suckers.

I tried Plan A and it’s worked from what I can see.

Well, I went to my further LFS for the Skimmer and the actual light spacer. I’m coming home with 3 SPS frags ontop of that. They are;
1 Acropora granulosa
1 Acropora tortuosa (Possibly a Miyagi)
1 Seriatopora hystrix (A normal Green)

Here’s a couple FTSs. One from side on (IMO not a great way to look at this tank) and the second from top down (The way this tank is being designed to be looked at).

Lights are off and have been for Atleast 30 minutes now. I looked up at the tank and it seems someone else also enjoys the new additions. I’ve seen him going up to the Hystrix a few times during day light so I thought he may be trying to get the hystrix to host him but he never perched on it until lights out.

After a week of fighting the fish for photos… I got these today :)
I had a great opportunity for getting a photo of the three together earlier in the week but obviously as soon as I went to take it, they went in separate ways.

These three have all become MUCH less secretive and love to peck at the rocks all day. I’ve also noticed them pecking at the glass every so often.
Currently all three are out so I can kind of notice a difference between one of the three. One is much smaller than the other two whilst the other two are almost equivalent in size comparison.
Fingers crossed as I got these at an incredibly small size that I can keep them for Atleast a year (if not 2-3).

I mean, I have a couple of fish already exceeding their lifespan. The yasha is already 2.5 years with me (Their average lifespan is 2 years) and the Griessingeri is 1.3 years with me (Their lifespan is an average of 1 year).

I got another invert… This time it’s a beginner level species and one of those that we often include with the Skunk Cleaners (Similar to how we always have Blennies and Gobies). In the second bag is a coral for my 4’ tank.

Here’s the shrimp. A Lysmata debellious this is a species I’ve loved however in my 4’ I never really went for one so I figured to get one in this tank. Hopefully the red in this guy goes well with the eventual red in a pair of Tanakai Possum Wrasses.

Hi Aaron!

How is this acro doing? :)

I posted a picture because I don’t know what you call it. Slimer?
Actually I still have that slimer :)
Wish I got a photo of it earlier, will definitely get a photo tomorrow during lights on. The colour is there but he went rather pale in my max nano. There’s definitely colour on him still but it’s extremely hard to spot.
Growth isn’t much better - Actually whilst trying to stop him from falling I managed to break 2 branches off of him. Polyp extension also isn’t the best but I’m sure it’s there (Just very well hidden under blue lights).

I kind of like the pale zeovit look lol.

Can I see pictures when you have a chance?
Sure you can :)
I also quite like the pale look but wish I could get those purple tips and deep main skeleton back.

Also, one that has essentially come back from the dead is my Stylophora. Here’s a photo I got earlier with the nice purple polyps on a beige background.

I also have these guys just covering my glass, they aren’t sand particles as they have around 10 tentacles (Somewhat starfish like).

The Peppermint shrimp has vanished randomly but the fire shrimp quite happily roams the tank (Day and Night). An update on all inverts will come soon - Hopefully I’ll have another filter feeder by then.
