Well, currently I have a gorgonian sitting at the shop in my macro tank. Hoping to place it into this tank once it’s ready, which will hopefully be this week. Need to do another full system test this evening to see the levels. But I have decided to trial a frag of my Alveopora I’ve grown for the last 2-3 years just to see if it can hold SPS.

The gorgonian in question…

And my Alveopora when it was about 1/2 the size it is now (even after being fragged 3-4 times now) back in March 2024.

Hey guys! We’re still going strong.

Tonight, the Clownfish will be coming home as the system’s PO4 and NO3 have slowly bottomed out (due to the high amounts of algae growth caused by being next to a window which receives direct sunlight).

I said they’d be home, here is my second pair of Clownfish… Sausage and Chips.
IMG_9737.jpeg

These two have settled in incredibly well already! Ive already been seeing signs of potentially nesting/laying so these could be a spawning pair (they were two mature clowns which I paired about a month ago).

I did also bring this nice shelf Monti back - mainly as a strategic move. Due to the high variable flow, I have noticed a dip occuring in the sand in the centre of the tank. So, seeing this nice chunk of shelving Monti (which is already giving the shelving/spiralling behaviour), I thought it would work if it grows and give me that spiralled cap appearance, however if it doesn’t last, its shelves seem to be some nice real estate for future Acros - especially due to it being right in the centre of the three-way flow.

And, a much required FTS - the other benefit to the Monti is I can have a low light, high flow loving LPS, potentially another Elegance or Fungia. Maybe even the single polyp LPS like Trachys, Scolys etc.
