It's interesting to see how most photos of Golden angelfish are in captivity. I don't know if some of you have noticed otherwise, but I've only seen a handful of photos of this fish in the wild. I was fortunate enough to see one with my own eyes about 20 years ago, and as I mentioned earlier, its price has increased tenfold since then, but I haven't stopped wanting to keep one someday.

I just love this gal.

Do you have any other angels in your tank? How big is your tank?
I have tried this fish twice to no success. Both times they were in QT, but I think my issue is I had several other angels in the tank. What is your secret?

Outstanding tank!! I am restarting my 400 gallon tank and I hope to have the fish list you have. I am leaning a balance between tangs and angels, with some wrasses mixed in for additional color. :)

I got 5 Flame Angels, 2 Majestic Angels and 2 Regal Angels. My tank is a 320 gal tank with pretty good amount of crooks and crannies in it. Mostly fish with a few hardy corals and 2 Gigantea and 1 Magnifica anemones.

I think it is max out on fish. I may try to remove a fish or two in the future.
Where you get your fish? They look hardy and healthy

There isn't a lot of options here in Corpus Christi. I got them at Petco, mostly. The more exotic wrasse I got at Austin AquaDome in Austin or various LFS in Houston. I have a 18 gal cooler with air pump that I keep in my car when I go out of town just in case I see something I wanted. It has divider so I can get more than 1 fish.
Most of the fish are not in great shape when we get them. It is how we take care of them. As long as they not emaciated and in hunger strike, it is all up to us to care for our pets.

You got a Regal angel at a Petco?

How are fish from NY Aquatics? Heard mixed views. How long you have the fish?

I got good fishes from him. I got multiple Regal angels and Diamond on tail flasher juveniles from him. All did great. Only MO fishes that I cannot get locally

Mm good to know, I'd have to have a QT tank and treat before added to main tank. Gives me an option to think about. Thanks.

Here lately other than a FW dip I haven't been treating NYA fish. I place them in either a 20 or 40 gallon well established tank with liverock for a month before placing them in my display tanks.

Very nice. Has anyone kept a Flagfin angel? I am reading mixed reviews about hardiness, and any help is welcomed.
