Beautiful place! I am curious as to how a tank like that will effect the value of the home. I would assume it would go up, but how much?
Thanks.
Large tanks will reduce a homes value generally unless you end up selling to someone who is in the hobby which would be unlikely. Swimming pools generally do the same in our area which suprised me
Yup that is what I was going to say. Most people would consider it a negative, not a positive. When we were shopping for this place, one of the homes we considered had a 900 G fowlr in the kitchen separating the eat in portion. I was intrigued by the presence of the tank, but the house was very expensive due to the are it was located and I could put a large tank in any house.
Ditto for swimming pools, which I also have. It seems like most people around where I live want giant houses that fill like 95% of the lot, leaving very little room for grass. As soon as they are settled, more often than not, they rip out what little grass they have and landscape with interlock or architectural stone.
I love greenspace. My house backs onto a golf course and my biggest concern is getting picked off with an errant golf ball and drowning in the pool!
