Yup, lovin' my new reef jar. Everything is so easy on this thing. Temp stays even (Inkbird), evaporation...what's that? In fact, my six inch bristle worm that came with the live rock was so accommodating, he laid out flat at the front of the glass on the sand this morning just so I could easily pick him up with forceps and send him on his toilet way.
I'm using a lid that has a built-in light that I got from Premium Aquatics called the PicoPro - fits snug and gives control over whites and blues, 24watts. Nice, easy-peasy, keeps the evaporation to a minimum...
...which leads me to a question to everyone who's using an air pump for flow: something (no doubt a snail, or maybe a telekinetic feather duster) keeps messin' with my air line (knocking it off, or, today, pushing it so water was flowing out overnight...not a lot, but got the kitchen island it's on wet) - how do y'all keep that air hose in place? Double suction cups don't seem to work.
