Seeing your tank makes me 100% sure I need to add more rock lol, but its the coral and equipment that keeps me coming back. The challenge of keeping everything balanced.

For me, it is a love and hate relationship for coral. I love the look of SPS and the color of SPS. I hate I cannot keep triggers into my reef tank ( some may say it is OK, but I am not taking the risk)

I'm new to reefing in fact many of you who have helped me over the last couple weeks know that I just stood up my tank a week ago or so. I've been in fresh water planted tanks for over 20 years. There is something about reef tanks and just saltwater in general that is more beautiful, soothing, and helps you feels more connected when you see the beautiful clear water, beautifully colored fish, the nice rock AND the coral it's like a complete package. Glad I found this site!

Same here. I am glad I found this site with so many helpful reef keepers. Do you still have your fresh water planted tanks? I still have one.

I love the chemistry and challenge of keeping the corals alive, healthy and the water beautiful and crystal clear. It such a beautiful hobby that teaches patients and the ebb and flow of nature. Once I started I was hooked

Love soft corals and their movement, but fish definitely take the cake for me.
I am the same. I have had a saltwater tank continuously since the 90s. It has always been the fish that has kept me in the hobby for so long. However, I do enjoy the softie coral that sway soothingly in the flow as well as macro algae, and inverts like shrimp and such.
