Great looking tank mate, your corals have grown enough, are you getting tired of mixing the dosing solutions? Ever thought about going for a calcium reactor?

Thabk you, I'm using Core7 so no mix needed... still when I reach a certain amount I need to cross over to a Calcium reactor to make all this more cost effective. :)

Can i ask something else? Triton elements dosing can cause a salinity raise, how do you compensate that? Do you remove tank water daily? If so how much and do you replace it with just rodi water? :)

During summer with the Core7 dosing raising I had a bit of salinity raise, so at the moment I got that sorted with the @GHL Profilux 4 to control a little pump that takes out 300ml of water per day, this maintains salinity very stable :)

Tank looks beautiful. :)

Thank you so much :)

Yes, I'm taking water out daily with a program on Profilux 4, it takes 400ml daily and topup with RODI.

https://www.triton-lab.de/en/calculators/core7/

This triton calculator we can insert the amount of C7 we dose and it gives us the amount of water to take out daily, I also take in account the water skimmed out (average)

News.

After removing the Sn from my water and relacing the rusty Aqua-Medic heater (hopefully I will not have Sn detected again!), I notice a big change in growth and color over the last weeks :D

20days more and I will send another water sample to be ICP tested.

Recently I introduced two Berghias from Koral Sea, to help me fighting some aiptasia that I have in the tank errr, I got the Chaetodon burgessi solution on hold since I don't want to compromise PE on the SPS so the fish will be my last option.

And finally some pictures :)

Nice Berghias! Where did you order them from? I live in Portugal and would love to order some as well. Currently have a Copperband in quarantine but a bit concerned about my LPS, mainly acans.

Curious to see how the Berghias will work out for you. All I have read seems to indicate that you need a large population of these to be effective and that is not only expensive but difficult to maintain as a lot of wrasses and other stuff eats them.

yes, this is a trial... let's see how the population of aiptasia is reduced... I also heard it's quite easy to reproduce them but it will take some time until you can have a large number :/

Photography Update

Well I have been looking for a new photo setup for myself and the aquarium of course . Last Friday I had the change to test the Fujifilm Cameras X-T2 with a lot of different lens including the not yet released a NEW Fujifilm XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro Lens and I must say I loved it.
Even with very high ISO and our usual "crazy lighting" inside the aquarium this was one of the best cameras I ever shot with.

The 80mm with an incredible sharpness, color and super fast and precise auto focus make it the best Macro lens I have tested yet.

I had it for a short period of time and being the first time I was photographing with a FujiFilm Camera I believe I can do better ;) anyway check out the images I got

Macro Shots: Fujifilm XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro
FTS Shots: Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS Lens

Photography and tank update

During Xmas break I had some time to familiarize myself with my new camera setup (finally) the Fujifilm Cameras X-T20... hello sharp images

So... while I wait for the macro lens I took out my current XF16-55 f2.8 for some FTS and fish shots... I must say it's approved.

The tank is running has been running fine... a bit of cyano lurking around but.... it's not too much.

Anyway... here it is the shots from the X-T20
