I've had ups and downs in upgrading to a 70 Gallon A-I-O Reef Aquarium. I Definately will NOT use a All-In-One Setup again. I am not sure what the heck I was thinking! I guess I just wasn't thinking. A seperat sump with a Refugium or Algae Scrubber in my opinion is a necessity when having a Saltwater Aquarium, especially if you want a healthy Aquarium.
So here is a Summary: New/Re-Used 75 Gallon Flat-Back Mixed Reef Tank. Reef Rock and 4" Sandbed Various Man-Made and Natural Live Rocks used to create natural Reef Caves, Ledges and other natural environments for a Variety of Plants, Corals and Livestock. Equipment is as follows 75 Gallon Flat Back Acrylic Tank with built in sump in rear of tank. 100 and 500 Watt Heaters, Eshopps Protein Skimmer PSK-100H, AquaMaxx BioMaxx XL BioPellet Reactor. 9 lbs of Biohome Ultimate Marine Media (4 lbs Previously Cycled), eFlux Aquarium DC Flow Pump with Flow Control up to 1050 GPH running One Random Flow Generators.
For Lighting I am running All Current Orbit Marine LED Fixture, 2x18" Marine Aquarium LEDs (Side by Side) and in Front and Back one 36" and 48" Marine IC Aquarium LEDs (Making them the Pro Fixture) Inside for flow I am running two 660 GPH Current eFlux Wave Pumps and one 2,100 GPH Current eFlux Wave Pump. All the Lighting Fixtures,Waves Pumps and Sump Pump are all ran through the Current USA Bluetooth Controller through the Phone App.
As far as Corals go It's pretty bare right now but here it goes...
One Head of Duncan, Two Heads of Green Tip Torch, One Head of Green Tip Hammer, One Medium Size Australian Elegance Coral, Multiple Green Mushrooms, Several Unidentified Mushrooms, One Yellow Finger Gorgonian, One Very Small Hairy 1 Leather, One Leather Coral, One Gold Clove Coral and One Very Small Bulb Anemone.
For Livestock I have One Adult Black Fin Damselfish, One Blue Tang, One Green Mandarin, One Royal Gramma Basslet, One Juvinile Engineer Goby, Four Ocellaris Clownfish, One Pistol Shrimp, One Sand Sifting Star Fish, 5 Emerald Crabs, and Various Snails.
Sump
Tetra 20 Gallon Tank is 29.5" x 11.75" x 11.75". There's 3 chambers, drain chamber (left side), refugium (middle), and return chamber (right side). The 1st baffle, on left side is an over/under/over baffle, and has 10", 9.5" and 9.5" tall, glass panels (left-to-right). The middle glass panel (9.5" tall)is raised 1" above the bottom of the tank, and the side panels rest on the bottom of the tank. Spacing between each glass panel is about 1". This left chamber accepts the drain flow from the tank through the Theiling Compact Rollermat, coming in, and the 10" panel is sized according to the max. recommended water level height of 4" for my Theiling Rollermat. This should be the max height so the Theiling Rollermat will be setl on a small platform or Bio Plates pto raise the skimmer to lower the water level. The baffle to the right, which is just the 1 Plexiglass Panel, is 8" tall, which is lower than the left baffle (rightmost glass panel which is 9.5" tall) to allow stronger water flow thru the media shelf. I'll use this media shelf to put a bag of carbon, phosguard, etc
