I just started out with one tablespoon per gallon. You could start there and see what effect it has on your calcium and alkalinity, based on your system demand. I believe the saturation point is 2 tablespoons per gallon of water, so I think you will end up somewhere in between 1 and 2 tbs per gallon.

I would go with Salifert. Hanna calcium isn’t that great and time consuming. But for alk, Hanna is amazing.

Sounds good! Salifert are pretty good price wise. I have red sea alk but that one is a pain. What about Hanna ph is that any good? Either that or a cheap used apex ;)

I agree. I also have Red Sea alk and it’s hard to see when to stop adding drops. I have no clue about Hanna ph since it just came out, but I wish I can get an apex lol

Any algae scrappers y’all recommend? No magnet ones I need like one with a handle lol!
Maybe an original Magic Eraser, but you will have to get your arm wet. :)
