i think my dwarf flame angel wins “most beautiful“ in my tank, but it def doesn’t win “miss congeniality“ - i’m glad it’s small lolHappy Wednesday Reef Fam!
Today let's talk about those beautiful little swimmers that make up the elegant movement of our saltwater reef glass boxes of water! Otherwise known as saltwater fish! It is said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but I think as far as fish go we may be able to come to a consensus or at least a majority vote on this thing! So let's talk about it!
1. What ONE fish do you think is the MOST beautiful fish in the hobby?
2. What "types" of fish do you think are the overall most beautiful fish in the hobby? (Angels, Wrasse, Gobies, and so on etc?)

dwarfsI need to update this thread:
For the people saying angels are the most beautiful fish: are you referring to the dwarfs or the large angels?
How so? Filefish can be more destructive to coral than any of my angels ever have been.I have a preference for the angelfish but need a fowlr for it to happen.
I have had to remove them as they pick at my sps. My system is 95% sps.How so? Filefish can be more destructive to coral than any of my angels ever have been.
What about a Lamarck's angelfish or Genicanthus melanospilus? My Lamarck leaves everything alone.I have had to remove them as they pick at my sps. My system is 95% sps.
I wont try anymore in my 120. I already have 15 fish. It is in growout mode now. What about a Lamarck's angelfish or Genicanthus melanospilus? My Lamarck's leaves everything alone.
