oh well the nightmare of nightmares. Eventually they show up as they say. Sure enough found out that I have a Bobbit worm approx 24” long and started to prey on my fish and everything else in soft Corals. Took out a section this morning and grabbed him with tweezers but he was able to escape and go back to his old place. I will Have to literally take out everything to get him which leaves me with not to many options. So stand by my journey begins.

Following along, this isn't going to be fun at all but has to be done, right!
No fun at all. Devastated. At the end of the day I want to turn this negative thing to positive. I’ll rescape and get rid of a lot of over grown crap. Rebuild it a little different

Yes he does but never let go of his base. His tail is like a rattle snake.
Looking on a couple other threads if you can get ahold of it you can pull it out.

I’m going to try to suck it out but I can’t move in my tank. It’s not easy with all the Corals

Bobbit worms will regrow a head if split

:O So these things will be officially haunting my dreams now, haha. I saw a youtube video from Coral Lust removing one of these from his reef. It recoiled into a rock and he then removed the rock. My thought is setting up a big rock with some holes in it on the portion of your tank floor with all the open space and place some bait like a cheap softie colony or a dead shrimp or something close to that rock. if you catch him in the area he should retreat to that rock being the only cover in an otherwise open space.. Just a random idea. I wish you all the luck in the world with killing that sucker!

I wonder if shooting a turkey baster of vinegar in its hole will get him to release his grip and give you an opportunity to get him. Your tank looks big enough for it not to cause harm. Might be wrong but a idea anyway.
I am willing to try anything but today he went across the tank in the sand bed to his hole. He is a smart dude.
