Ecureefer and I discussed the TE Sand . I shared a link from a LA forums that said they had problems with it .

Of course other ppl defended the sand . This is what I found . After rinsing it 3 times in ro/di water . I took a water sample to a another reef buddy

. Look how blue that water turned before I added the curvet to the checker .

Right before I put it in the checker .

We had a lil mess going on for testing water today .
All I can say is be careful with TE sand . It would be beneficial to have some gfo to get the po4 down with the sand .

I will test my tank water again for phos tonight .

Thank's spspirate .
I did test my water 3 hours later . I think the tank will be fine . That level above was the rinsed sand water .

As you can see the po4 is dead on where I'd like to keep it .

Everything looks nice, hope you have been doing well.

Thanks so much. I am doing better but had a bad afternoon . I ended up at my doctors office with a jacked up shoulder and a lot of pain .

I have no idea what I did . The good news is I lost another 8 lbs since my visit almost 6 weeks ago..

New goodies in from TCK . They rock .. ( yep that's my take on them ).

It's better today . I am still a lil stiff . My doctor said the muscle relaxer should slow me down n rest for a change .
I agree on the tank being loaded . I am still trying to figure out a way to get one more rock in the tank for the new frags .
Might try the rear wall for more depth look . ECUreefer has plenty of acrylic rods on hand .
Coralline algae is growing on the rear wall. WOOT ,,,WOOT ...

I see some annoying algae cropping up since I have no hermits in the tank .
I did find a Stomatella today .It appears to be a good size one . Proly cut back on the Pohl's Xtra and aminos

I also got in another KH test kit . Not sold on Nyos with the reagents staining the test vial . It skewed a few tests here and there .
I guess it's back to Salifert . Balling Salts are on the way since I am starting to see some of the big 3 being consumed .
Will go back to lugol's and NF metals when the red sea colors are finished .

PA came thru on a my full balling salts . TY ..
I got a case of them and 1 box of B .
It's enough for 3 gallons of A /Calcium /trace elements
6 gallons of B / sodium bicarbonate
3 gallons C Magnesium / Sodium Free Salts .
FWIW these salts are similar if not the same as I have said before with the TM balling Salts line .
All pharmaceutical grade . .. Now to wait on Black Friday for a doser n containers .
Hanna reagents came in too. I see they are tabbed ,alas no more scissors .
