So, as the 5 foot is currently sat running fallow, I have decided to slowly begin collecting a few wrasses over the next 4-5 months to introduce in small groups, and ensure they feed/settle correctly prior to the system running again.

Here’s the two latest wrasse additions;

Both less than an inch, I decided to rehome my Biocellatus as he became too boisterous for the wrasses I’ll be after.

So my wrasses as of now are:
1x H. Iridis
1x C. bathyphylus/efatensis
1x C. lineatus
1x P’juloides. kaleidos
1x P’cheilinus. ocellatus (although it’s 50/50 at the moment on if she is will hit my main display or a separate tank)

If you don't mind my asking, where did you source the H. iridis from? LFS, or an online seller? It's one of the wrasses on my wish list, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen my LFS carry them. I know they're often delicate shippers.

He's in the UK.

Ah, well that would make the sourcing question rather moot. 😁
I haven't order from them, but they have them available

Yeah, I've seen that.

They're not really a place I'd trust with a "known to ship poorly" fish. I've brought in a few fish from them. They were okay, but the big problem is that they use FedEx for shipping. UPS and FedEx take turns at being terrible for shipping outcomes, and FedEx is currently in the "I don't trust them," category.

They do package and label their fish fairly well, but I'm not sure what state the fish are in when they are shipped, and the last few times I got stuff from them, it looked like FedEx treated them pretty rough.

Yeah, I’m in the UK but also own my own LFS which makes it easier to source some of the more difficult fish.

Small but mighty.

I need to get into my 100ltr nano and get more shots of my possum. Currently it’s covered in algae - the coral and fish are fat as anything, but the tank is what many would suggest as being “unhealthy” (even with SPS, LPS, softies all loving it).
